Located near public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks are very popular among commuters who accesses Sydney metro and train services by their vehicles, as they provide up to 18 hours free parking each day for public transport users.
However, due to the popularity and limit vacancy, commuters like me often find ourselves either having to arrive early at the car parks to secure a parking spot, or driving around fruitlessly hoping to find one available.
Transport for NSW does offer real-time vacancy data on their website, but it is annoying that you have to scroll through most of the page and a list of 37+ facilities , with no way to save favourites or plan ahead, I wanted something better — an app that lets me pin my go-to car parks, check available at a glance, and know how long it'll take to drive there, all before I leave the house.
That's why I built MetroParking — now available on App Store for free.
